TRANSCRIBER / GOOD TO KNOW
Video to text and SRT or VTT subtitles
Transcription uses the video's audio track. You receive spoken text with timestamps, ready to save as a document or subtitles.
Upload a video from your device
Choose an MP4, MOV, WebM, or MKV with an audio track, up to 2 GiB and four hours. This version accepts files rather than video-service links. Upload recordings you have permission to process.
Text on slides and images is not recognized. Keep the lecture materials nearby when working with formulas, code, or diagrams.
Review against the video
Play the original local file in the editor after processing. Clicking a timestamp takes the player to the matching passage.
Review names, numbers, and speaker changes. Editing text preserves the segment's time boundaries; publication-ready subtitles may need further timing adjustments in a video editor.
Choose SRT or VTT
SRT is supported by many video editors and players. WebVTT is commonly used for subtitles on websites. Both include text and the start and end of each segment.
Download the result before refreshing the page. No public transcript link or recording history is created. After delivery, the transcript is available only in the open tab.
